In order to look after the selective aspects of the breeding, the brood-mares are been divided into 4 groups, each of them with a stud farm.

In the stud farm there are 5-6 murgese stallions of different blood lines.
This allows to plan the covering and to improve and exalt some of the morphologic aspects and the temper of the colts.

At the present the leader in the stud farm is Strauss, from the Granduca bloodline. Strauss is born in 2002 from Nume and Elvira, a direct descendant of the famous Ulisse.
Biometric data: height of Withers -164 cm; Circ of thorax: 182 cm;
Circ. Of shins: 21 cm.

Strauss is in the most important stud farm of the breeding: the "San Paolo" Masseria.
Besides the natural covering, thanks to the efficient veterinarian service of the company, in the stud farm it is possible to have in 24-48 hours doses of semen for the artificial fecundation on the whole national territory.
